Idea

So my friend and I are planning a little mini trip to Turner Falls next week. I am so excited! Since this is the last week of class I am looking forward to living it up as summer break will begin for me tomorrow once class lets out! So since I am off two days in row next week we are going to go camp down there.

I think it is going to be a blast I haven't ever been to Turner Falls so I am even more excited to check it out and see what it is all about.

Also I watched the Karate Kid last night and that was a really good movie. Anyone should see it. I am known for falling asleep during any movie and we saw this one late and I made it through the whole thing!

Next anyone read The girl with the Dragon Tattoo? Cause I am seeing what book everywhere and thinking I need to read it.

Errands

So I was off work yesterday and it was so nice to be able to get things done that I have been meaning to. I went to the grocery store finally since I moved in on the 1st I have been eating what little I had from the old apartment. I can finally cook something again (not that I am an amazing cook).

Then I cleaned it is crazy how fast dust collects. And cleaned out my CAR!!!! That is an accomplishment because if you had seen the inside of it, it was bad.

Today I am going to finish the rest of the stuff on my list. I am taking the pup to get his first round of puppy shots today. :( I think I am more nervous than he is. Then I have to get my car washed since the inside is kinda clean might as well get the rest of it cleaned.

And lastly I am getting a snow cone. I have been craving one for a week now! Just thinking about it right now makes my mouth water. It is my little reward to myself for getting everything done.

Father's Day!

`wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

That would be from Charlie, He walked across my computer but stopped a few times.

We celebrated Father's Day last night at my parents house. It was so much fun being with the family. It was my aunt, uncle, cousin, grandma and grandpa and my brother can't forget him. Mom cooked some yummy food for us all! And best part gave me a doggy bag!

My aunt brought over her 7 month old puppy named Gizmo so her and Charlie could meet. Since Charlie is only 5 1/2 pounds GIzmo looked so much bigger next to him. They played for a while and we discovered that Charlie might be small but he is a tuff one.

Gave Dad his present yesterday. It is so hard to find gifts for Father's Day. I asked for some time know what he wanted and could never give me an answer so I had to think of something. Which wasn't easy. Ended up getting him the Book of Eli. Hope he likes it.

Hope everyone has a good day today, I am off to the retail word!

Push over!

So this is probably one of my posts that I shouldn't write about and publish on the internet but I feel like everyone should know what this feels like.

I am an easy going person I am always down for whatever with my friends if you wanna see a movie I don't wanna see I will go and enjoy myself. No big deal I can see the one I want another time with someone else.

Well last night I didn't want to drive way north in Edmond because we were going to the park and there are a ton right by me. So I said something to my friend about not wanting to drive all the way up here. And she informed me that I was the only one that didn't want to drive that far and got upset and asked me where I wanted to go. Well being the easy going person that I am I said "I don't care it's where ever."

That was not the right time to say where ever because by that point she was mad that I didn't want to do what she wanted. So we got into a fight outside the restaurant and after a few choice words that shall not be repeated we ended up going to my apartment to take me home.

There were five of my friends that were with us and they all went back to my place and my friend who didn't get things her way went home. The four of us that were left stayed and played games at my place and had a wonderful evening and all the bad vibes were gone once she left.

I hate that I got into a fight with one of my really good friends and it was over something so stupid! And I am pretty sure that we both know it was about something stupid.

I don't know what to do or feel about the situation I want to just forget about it but I know that I won't someone that is my friend I feel like shouldn't make me feel that way and I know that if I was her I would have at least tried to say sorry by now. I haven't talked to her and we are suppose to see a baseball game tonight together. Now I am thinking that I kinda don't want to anymore. I wanna go have a good time but if things don't go her way it might be another few choice words.

So thanks for letting me rant on and on about this stupidness. I never have much drama in my life but I guess everyone gets in fights sometimes. And maybe this was to show me that I will never get to do what I want I will always be the push over.

The World Cup isn't the only big going on in South Africa

So I stumbled on this news article and I couldn't help but think that what I was reading was not true. There is a town that wants to stay with whites only! What?!??! I still don't see how that is true. I guess there will always be racism in the world. It's a town called Orania in South Africa.

Since I didn't believe what I was reading I started to look up more about this country and found this article, it is from 2003 so the information may not be as up to date as the first one but still it is a crazy thing.

I know that I have joked about racism and my friends say crappy things about other races but I wouldn't have thought that in 2010 there was still a town that didn't allow black people into.

This was on my mind all day yesterday and I talked to so many people about to get there opinions on the issue. So let me know what you think I am fascinated by this idea and how I don't think it should be happening.

I did what Rick Mitchell told me to do.

So yesterday was the crazyness of the flood of 2010! And I did survive, Thank you! I didn't attempt to go out in though I just stayed at home with the pup and cleaned watched the news about those that drove through and took a nap. Pretty
exciting rainy day I must say. But the weather man told to stay at home and not leave unless I had to. Which I didn't so it was fine by me.

Watching the news I saw a man that got stuck on a road and the fire rescues had to save him and he was dumping water out of his car. I couldn't imagine being stuck in my car with water coming all around me.

My friend that was in Edmond was okay the water never got into her house thankfully, but I do have some friends at my church that got 4' in their house. So clean up begins for them. And anyone wanting to help them of course.

I was a little nervous though seeing Penn and Memorial flooded and Lake Walmart cause that was where I was headed when I had to go to work. I work at the Best Buy there and people were coming in with computers that didn't know what to do with because they had water damage on them. The funniest part of the night though was those buying TVs in the rain! Seriously?!?!? Oh well not my problem.

Glad everyone is safe! Hope you stayed dry yesterday.

History in the making

So I went to bed around 2 or 3 last night and there was no rain at all. Now we are on a flash flood warning!

My friend that is Edmond just had the Fire Rescue come by to make sure they were okay and that if the storm keeps up they will be evacuated. That is crazy! I hope she is okay and everyone else.

As the news shows all these Jeeps and trucks stuck in water I know my car wouldn't have made it out of the apartment complex.

New Fun

So as I am sitting here all I can think about is my new puppy!!! His name is Charlie and I didn't want to leave him this morning. He feel asleep in my lap while I browsing the internet before class, not like we hadn't just woken up 2 hours ago.

I was nervous when I was going to have to tell my parents what I had got for myself. But they fell in love with him as soon as he came over! Who wouldn't fall in love with that face!

He took that photo this morning with my webcam. He looked up just in time.
I am super excited. Still trying to figure out if he will be a good cacher or will just sleep?

Do I remember?

Even though I was only in kindergarten when the bombing happened downtown I still remember the day. We in Mrs. Myers class playing around when the whole room shook. No one knew what was going on until another lady came down to the room to see if everyone was alright.

Everyone was okay in our room but still no one knew what happened. I don't know when I realized that such a horrible man had out a bomb downtown and killed so many people. We visited the Murrah Building and saw the chain link fence with pictures of people who where in the building when the bomb went off.

I still cannot believe how a horrible thing can bring a city together. The fence will always remain in my head even when I go down there now and see what is left of the fence I imagine how long it used to be and how many memories were placed on it. When I was visiting I wanted to leave something behind but all I had were bracelets on my arm. So I left one.

Do I remember? Yes, yes I do. I may not have understood what was going on that morning in April to a 5 year old it was just the start on spring time and getting to play outside, but to so many others it was a tragic day for them.

My old roommate and me had different tastes in Music

Singing Follow ME!

I have decided to follow a few blogs that I feel are very interesting! The first one is http://www.macworld.com/ . It is all about Apple's latest gadgets and dohickies that they put out. I wanted to follow Apple because I am an Apple enthusiast. On June 24 I am hoping that my phone is available for an upgrade cause the new iPhone looks BOMB! Can't wait to see it in person. I did find it funny that the demonstration messed up (sorry Steve) I know that they didn't want to make AT&T look bad or anything.

I have also found a few cachers that are blogging as well. There is one in Tulsa http://crustygasguy.blogspot.com/ and his interesting because it is not just caching it has what is going on in his world.

When did we loose our Picassoism?

I know that I have my moments when I am not the most creative person out there but I would like to think that I have had my fair share of genius moments. Ken Robinson was right when he said that people have trouble speaking up about what they think because they are afraid that must be right. But in the Geocaching world one must be creative think outside the box.

If you wanna make a cache for someone to find you want it to be hard to find. My dad is amazing at that if I may so. I haven't ever been able to figure out how he comes up with some of the ones that he has but they get me every time.

We have been out caching and I have found some really creative ones that I want to show you.

This one was under a tree!

This one was cool because it was in a stick and
if you never picked it up I never would have found it.

Some of my favorites were by a cacher by the name of Darkmoon. He made one that was a night cache and we went out as a family and followed the deer markers all through the woods. It was such an amazing night of caching.

New Interest

When I started this I wanted to talk about my daily life and what all it goes into but now I am thinking I am changing. I want to talk about Geocaching.

For those of you who have not heard of geocaching it is a high tech hide and seek game. You use a GPS and look for hidden items around the world. Anywhere you go you will probably find one. For more info just check out the website geocaching.com. It is so much fun!

I started caching in 2004 I think it has been awhile. We started as a family because my uncle got us into it. Sadly he doesn't play anymore but we have been keeping our family geocaching name up. We are The Farrill 4! My dad has pretty much taken over the name for us because he is the main cacher in the family.

My friends and I go out with him on the weekends. It is just as much fun as going to a party and staying out late. The picture is of all us going out one night for night caching.

Can't wait to tell you all the fun stories of caching and maybe we can all go out together!

Move in!

Moved in yesterday and almost got everything fixed up. I got the bathroom left. :( Not looking forward to more unpacking boxes it never ends. But this is the start to my new journey of being me. Living without my parents or another roommate just me to keep myself out of trouble. (Hope that I can. )
I wanna say thanks to everyone following me and reading my ramblings. I know that I will be able to think of quite a few of em.

All new

This whole thing is new to me. I wanted to start blogging as a way to share my thoughts and opinions about different things going on into todays crazy times.
