I did what Rick Mitchell told me to do.

So yesterday was the crazyness of the flood of 2010! And I did survive, Thank you! I didn't attempt to go out in though I just stayed at home with the pup and cleaned watched the news about those that drove through and took a nap. Pretty
exciting rainy day I must say. But the weather man told to stay at home and not leave unless I had to. Which I didn't so it was fine by me.

Watching the news I saw a man that got stuck on a road and the fire rescues had to save him and he was dumping water out of his car. I couldn't imagine being stuck in my car with water coming all around me.

My friend that was in Edmond was okay the water never got into her house thankfully, but I do have some friends at my church that got 4' in their house. So clean up begins for them. And anyone wanting to help them of course.

I was a little nervous though seeing Penn and Memorial flooded and Lake Walmart cause that was where I was headed when I had to go to work. I work at the Best Buy there and people were coming in with computers that didn't know what to do with because they had water damage on them. The funniest part of the night though was those buying TVs in the rain! Seriously?!?!? Oh well not my problem.

Glad everyone is safe! Hope you stayed dry yesterday.

  2. Didn't exactly stay dry, but I didn't have to drive in any of that, either. I just hope my 19 year old didn't stall out on the way to work (I probably would have heard about it if he had)...

  6. Seeing Penn & Memorial flooded tripped me out too, because I frequent that area and was planning to get my nails done yesterday morning in the shopping center where the flooding occured. I'm glad I didn't. I love the T-shirt! Where do I get one?

  8. Yeah, I had to work too. Luckily I work in the garden center, so I didn't have to water the plants yesterday. :P
Didn't see any crazies. Most people seemed to stay away from my place of work.
